How clients sell licenses: manual or automated

The Woo Seller Connector is optional. Clients can sell manually without it, or use the connector to automate license delivery from their own WooCommerce store.

Manual selling flow for Guard product

  1. Create or protect the product in Guard Builder.
  2. Set up the product/listing details so the product has a clear software slug.
  3. Sell the product anywhere: message, invoice, PayPal, Stripe link, manual WooCommerce product, or another marketplace.
  4. After payment, open the seller dashboard and generate a license key for that customer and product.
  5. Send the buyer the protected file, locked page link, video page, download page, or service link plus the license key.
  6. The buyer enters the key to activate or unlock the protected product.

Plain example: A buyer pays by invoice. The seller opens Guard Builder, generates a license key, then emails the buyer the key and protected product link.

Automated Woo Seller Connector flow for Guard product

  1. Create or protect the product in Guard Builder and copy the software slug.
  2. Install the Woo Seller Connector on the seller's own WooCommerce store.
  3. Enter the Guard server URL, Seller ID, and Seller API key in the connector settings.
  4. Create a WooCommerce product and map it to the same Guard software slug.
  5. Customer buys the WooCommerce product from the seller's store.
  6. After checkout/payment, the connector calls Guard Builder and creates the license automatically.
  7. The license key is added to the customer order/email, and the buyer uses it to unlock the protected product.

Plain example: A buyer checks out on the seller's WooCommerce store. The connector asks Guard Builder for a license key and adds it to the order automatically.
