Description
OnHosty Seller Woo Connector

Connect a seller’s WooCommerce store to OnHosty Guard Builder and automatically generate protected license keys after product purchases.
OnHosty Seller Woo Connector is built for sellers who want to sell protected plugins, digital products, services, APIs, downloads, or bundle access from their own WooCommerce store while using OnHosty Guard Builder as the license and protection server.
Instead of manually creating customer license keys after every sale, the connector lets the seller map WooCommerce products to Guard software slugs. When an order is paid or completed, the plugin contacts the Guard Builder server and generates the customer license key automatically.
This helps sellers automate license delivery, subscription access, product protection, bundle licensing, renewals, refunds, and service lock behavior from WooCommerce.
Sell Protected Products From Your Own WooCommerce Store
With OnHosty Seller Woo Connector, a seller can use their own WooCommerce store as the checkout system while OnHosty Guard Builder handles license creation and protection.
This is useful for selling:
- Protected WordPress plugins
- Protected WordPress themes
- Downloadable files
- Digital tools
- Software access
- Protected services
- API access
- Membership-style digital access
- Monthly or yearly protected products
- Bundle products that unlock more than one license
How It Works
- Connect the WooCommerce store to the OnHosty Guard Builder server.
- Enter the seller’s Seller ID and Seller API key.
- Test the seller connection.
- View available Guard products and software slugs for that seller.
- Edit a WooCommerce product.
- Enable OnHosty license generation.
- Paste the matching Guard software slug.
- Set license days, lifetime access, activation limit, and lock behavior.
- When the customer buys the product, the license key is generated and added to the order item.
Automatic License Generation
When a WooCommerce order is processing, completed, or payment is completed, the connector can automatically generate a license key for the purchased product.
The generated license key is attached to the WooCommerce order item so the customer can receive their license through the order details.
WooCommerce Product License Fields
Each WooCommerce product can be configured with OnHosty license settings.
Product license options include:
- Enable or disable OnHosty license generation per product
- Guard software slug mapping
- License duration in days
- Lifetime license option
- Activation limit / site limit
- License lock behavior
- Subscription renewal bridge
This gives sellers control over how each WooCommerce product creates and manages customer license access.
Bundle License Support
One WooCommerce product can generate more than one OnHosty Guard license.
This is useful when one sale should unlock multiple protected items, such as:
- Plugin + add-on license
- Plugin + protected download license
- Plugin + service/API license
- Bundle suite access
- Full access package
- Creator toolkit package
- Multiple protected products in one order
The primary license acts as License #1, and the plugin includes up to five additional license slots for bundled access.
Each additional license slot can have its own:
- Label
- Software slug
- License days
- Lifetime setting
- Activation/site limit
- Lock behavior
- Subscription renewal bridge setting
License Lock Behavior Options
Each license can use its own lock behavior depending on how strict the seller wants the protection to be.
Included lock behaviors:
- Safe Mode: Updates/support only. Good for products where access should not hard lock.
- Soft Gate: Premium features can pause after grace period.
- Hard Service Gate: Protected services can pause after grace period.
This helps sellers choose the right access behavior for each product type.
Subscription Renewal Bridge
For monthly or recurring WooCommerce products, the connector can keep one customer license key active while payments continue.
Subscription bridge features include:
- Keep the same license key across renewals
- Extend the license after successful renewal payments
- Sync license status after subscription payment completion
- Pause or disable license access after failed payments
- Pause or disable license access after cancelled, expired, on-hold, or refunded subscriptions
- Sync expiration based on subscription paid-through dates
This is ideal for monthly plugin licenses, software access, service access, API access, protected downloads, creator tools, and recurring support/update plans.
Refund and Cancellation Sync
The connector can sync protected license access when WooCommerce orders are refunded or when subscription status changes.
This helps sellers stop providing protected access when customers stop paying, cancel, fail renewal, or receive a refund.
Seller Connection Tools
The settings page lets the seller connect their WooCommerce store to the Guard Builder server.
Settings include:
- Guard Builder server URL
- Seller ID
- Seller API key
- Test Seller Connection button
- Seller connection status summary
- Available Guard products for that seller
- Product names, software slugs, and asset types
This makes it easier for sellers to know which software slug belongs on each WooCommerce product.
Optional Connector Access License
The plugin also includes an optional connector access license field.
This is useful if you sell the Seller Woo Connector as its own paid add-on. The connector can use:
- Connector license key
- Activate connector license
- Check license status
- Deactivate connector license
- Service allowed status
- Updates allowed status
- Expiration status
A valid Seller ID and Seller API key can unlock seller license generation, while the connector license is useful when the connector itself is sold as a separate paid product.
Shared OnHosty Guard License Client
This version includes the shared OnHosty Guard license client and registers the module slug:
seller_connector
Guard client features include:
- Master license support
- Module slug registration
- Bundle entitlement checks
- Local license cache
- Grace period support
- Suspended, expired, revoked, cancelled, on-hold, or failed license notice support
- Locked admin page helper
- Restore My Services button
- WooCommerce subscription/order cache sync hooks
This makes the connector easier to include inside Creator Pro, Guard Full Access, seller bundles, and protected OnHosty product systems.
